Cage Warriors returns tonight after 17 months away

The UK's premier MMA promotion, Cage Warriors, returns tonight after a 17 month layoff.

People around the world will be able to watch the promotion's return to action after it was announced this afternoon that the event will be broadcast live on UFC Fight Pass.

While live Cage Warriors coverage will begin tonight at 9pm (GMT) from the Camden Centre in London, a back catalogue of past events will be made available to subscribers later in the year.

The announcement means that fans will be able to watch current UFC stars including Conor McGregor, Michael Bisping, Joanna Jędrzejczyk and countless others cutting their teeth under the Cage Warriors banner early in their careers.

Graham Boylan's company acted as a vital feeder promotion to organisations like the UFC between 2002-2014 and he will hope that tonight can be the beginning of an equally successful era.

In the evening's main event middleweight champion Jack “The Joker” Hermansson (11-2) will defend his CWFC title versus Brazilian challenger, Alan “The Brazilian Viking” Carlos (12-8).

Further down the card British fans should look out for homegrown talent in the shape of featherweights Chris Fishgold and Paddy Pimblett.
