World Obstacle announced today that the 2023 Ninja World Cup Asia will kick off the series in Manila, Philippines March 31 through April 2. World Cup USA will be held in conjunction with the Ultimate Ninja Athlete Association (UNAA) World Series Finals, World Ninja Athlete Games (WNAG) Championships, and Federation of International Ninja Athletics (FINA) World Finals in July. Additional World Cup stops are being planned in Poland and Colombia.

 

The first Ninja World Cup is organized and produced by Pilipinas Obstacle Sports Federation (POSF) in collaboration with World Obstacle. The event will be held from March 31st to April 2nd in ArcoVia City, Pasig City, Metro Manila. 

 

“We are excited to be producing Ninja World Cup Asia again” said event host POSF President Mr. Al Agra. “In addition to delivering the first Ninja World Cup for the season, we are facilitating friendship and solidarity for the obstacle sports community worldwide.”

 

Who can Join

The race is open to any individual who would like to conquer the Ninja World Cup 100 course. Participants should prepare and train and ensure that they are fit and healthy for the challenge.

Categories: Elite, Age Group, Youth 11-15

There will be modifications for Age Groups 11-13 and 14-15.

A parental consent is required for participants below 18.

 

Event Format

a. Timed Ninja race

b. Individual time format (i.e., 1 athlete at a time and not head-to-head)

c. Fastest Time/ Fastest Athlete Wins

1. Best of 2 attempts/ runs (i.e., not the average) for the Elimination Round
2. Best of 2 attempts/ runs for the Elite Category (i.e., not the average) and best of 2 attempts/ runs (i.e., not the average) for Age Group Categories in the Championship Round.

d. Top 10 Men and Women Elite Ninjas and Top 5 Men and Women Ninjas in age groups in the Elimination Rounds shall advance to the Finals.

e. Championship Round Ranking shall be based on Best of 2 runs.

f. Number of Attempts per obstacle:

1. Elimination Rounds: maximum of 2 (beyond 2/ obstacle, DNF)
2. Championship Rounds: All runs must be clean.
